PRACTICAL SESSION ON CHEMDRAW BY SH. JUNED

A one-day Practical session on Chem-Draw software tool was organized by the Department of Chemistry, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Government College, Paonta Sahib. The workshop was held under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Jagdish Chauhan. The workshop featured Mr. Juned, an alumnus of the college's chemistry department and currently pursuing M. Tech in Material Science from IIT Jodhpur, as the chief speaker and instructor.

The program began with a formal welcome of the Chief Guest, Dr. Jagdish Chauhan, and the speaker by the Head of the Chemistry Department Prof. Amita Joshi. Lt. Dr. Pooja Bhati introduced Juned, highlighting his achievements and academic background. Mona, an MSc third-year student, expressed gratitude to him on behalf of the students and invited him to start the practical session.

During the practical session, Juned explained the features and applications of ChemDraw software, demonstrating its utility in drawing complex compound structures and writing chemical equations. The session included hands-on training on using ChemDraw to create structures and equations, with teachers and students actively participating. The program concluded with a Q&A session, where the speaker addressed students' queries.

In his address, Principal Dr. Jagdish Chauhan emphasized the importance of technology in education and suggested organizing similar workshops in the future. The program ended with a vote of thanks by an MSc third-year student and the national anthem. 24 students participated in the session.
