CHEMIGREEN CLUB INDUCTION MEETING REPORT

Session 2025-26

An Induction meeting of Chemigreen Club of Department of Chemistry of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Ji Degree College, Paonta Sahib was conducted on 22 July, 2025 at room no. 304. The main purpose of this meeting was to welcome the new students of B.sc 1st Year and provide them essential information regarding the activities of department under the banner of Chemigreen Club.The Induction meeting was presided over by Dr Jagdeesh Chauhan, Principal SGGSJ GC Paonta Sahib.

The meeting began with the warm welcome of Chief- Guest Dr Jagdeesh Chauhan, Guest of Honour Professor Sulaxana Sharma and other distinguished guests and newly joined students of B. Sc1st year by Gargi and Mehak of M.Sc 3^rd sem . The function started with welcome song “Swagatam, Shubh Swagatam” which was prepared by culture squad of the Chemigreen Club followed by badge pining ceremony of guests and staff members. A formal welcome of Chief guest and other distinguished guests by HOD Assistant Prof. Amita Joshi was followed by an encouraging speech by Lt. Dr. Pooja Bhati mam who welcomed and motivated the new entrants to join the chemigreen club of the department and to explore new things and update their skills through various activities.

 The whole chemigreen activities done throughout the session 2024-25 was presented by Ravi and Anjali of M.sc 3rd through PPT. The president of chemigreen club, Palak ( B.Sc 3 rd Year) discussed in detail the theme for session 2025-26 related to HIMALAYAS -THE NATURE’S LAB. She talked in detail about the various activities like video clips,memes, green experiments,group dance, songs etc in which the new entrants can participate this year. She encouraged them to join a squad of their choice for enhancing their skills.

The special feature of the meeting was the hand made art by Art Squad of Chemigreen club which was presented to Chief Guest Dr Jagdeesh Chauhan and Guest of Honour Professor Sulaxana Sharma. The art pieces were made by MSc III Semester student Sahiba.

In the end, meeting was conducted with the vote of thanks by Sahiba of M.sc 3 rd sem . who encouraged students to reach out for help whenever needed. The function was ended with National anthem.
