BLOOD DONATION CAMP

CLEAN AND GREEN CAMPUS-ONE DAY CAMP On November 09, 2023, NSS Units of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Government College in Paonta Sahib organized a one-day cleanliness camp. The camp aimed to foster a sense of community service and cleanliness among the NSS volunteers.

The NSS volunteers spent the day cleaning the college campus , boundary and the HIMUDA colony, collecting plastic waste from these areas and the adjoining road. Their efforts demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment both within and outside the college. During the camp, NSS program officer Prof. Nandini Kanwar briefed students on upcoming campus beautification activities and highlighted the significant impact NSS volunteers can make in society.

The event's significance was elevated by the presence of Sub-Divisional Officer Shri Gunjit Singh Cheema and Tehsildar Shri Rishabh Sharma. Mr. Cheema praised the ongoing engagement of NSS volunteers with the administration, highlighting their crucial role in the Yamuna Sharad Mahotsav, where they lit 21,000 lamps along the Yamuna River to spread knowledge and dispel darkness.

In recognition of the collaboration between the NSS unit and the administration, Mr. Cheema honored Dr. Jai Chand and Prof. Nandini Kanwar with a memorial token. Acting Principal Prof. Sulakshana Sharma also expressed appreciation for the NSS unit's commendable work. NSS program officer Dr.Jai Chand thanked Shri Gunjeet Singh Cheema for his kind words and recognition of the NSS volunteers' efforts, noting that this acknowledgment will inspire and motivate all the volunteers.
