2023-07-26 Kargil Vijay Diwas

On 26th July 2023, the NSS Unit of our college came together to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, marking India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War and honouring the sacrifices of our brave soldiers. The event began with a solemn observance of two minutes' silence, a moment of reflection to honour the lives lost during the conflict. Following this, Tanish, Nirjala, and Shivani recited poignant poems that eloquently captured the valor and bravery displayed by our soldiers on the battlefield, serving as a fitting tribute to their sacrifices. During the homage ceremony that ensued, PO Nandini Kanwar, addressing the assembled volunteers, delivered a stirring message emphasizing the significance of always remembering the sacrifices made by our armed forces and their families. She underscored the importance of prioritizing the nation's interests above all else and encouraged the volunteers to actively contribute to the process of nation-building in whatever capacity they could. Her words resonated deeply with the audience, serving as a powerful reminder of the debt of gratitude owed to our soldiers for their unwavering dedication and selflessness in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty. The event served not only as a commemoration of the heroes of the Kargil War but also as a catalyst for instilling a sense of responsibility and patriotism among the youth. Through activities such as observing silence, reciting poems, and reflecting on the sacrifices of our armed forces, the NSS Unit fostered a spirit of respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made in the defense of the nation. As the event concluded, the volunteers left with a renewed sense of commitment to contributing positively to the nation's progress, inspired by our soldiers' indomitable spirit and valor.
