On October 16, 2023, a significant event unfolded at Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Government College in Paonta Sahib. The National Service Scheme (NSS) and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) joined forces, along with the Blood Bank (Yashvant Singh Parmar Medical College Nahan), to organize a commendable blood donation camp on the college premises.

Dr. Ritu Pant, the Acting Principal of the college, commended the joint efforts of the NSS and NCC units and stressed the honor of hosting a blood donation camp within the college premises. She emphasized that this event not only signifies a remarkable achievement but also serves as a profound message for the youth and demonstrates true love for the nation.

The blood donation camp witnessed the active participation and support of various individuals, including Dr. Rachna Thakur, a dedicated Medical Officer, Shri Rajesh Sharma, the Chief Laboratory Technician, Kumari Kanu Sharma, a Laboratory Technician, and Shri Indra Singh from Blood Bank Nahan.

Dr. Jai Chand, and Prof. Nandini Kanwar the Programme Officer for the National Service Scheme, in addition to Dr. Pooja Bhati, with Prof. Sandeep Sharma the CTO of the National Cadet Corps girls and boys, shared their insights regarding the camp. They highlighted that organizing a blood donation camp within the college campus is a monumental achievement and has instilled a unique enthusiasm among the students. Despite unfavourable weather conditions, the students' unwavering commitment and dedication played a pivotal role in the camp's success. It was heartening to observe that not only the students but also the teachers actively contributed by donating blood, setting a remarkable example for all.

This blood donation camp became a memorable event as 50 students donated 50 units of blood, symbolizing the collective spirit of giving and compassion within the college community. During the camp, Dr Vivek Negi, Dr . Pradeep Tomar, and Dr. K.R Tomar, Shri Ashraf Ali, Shri Naresh Batra were present which further demonstrated the institution's dedication to social welfare and the well-being of society.
