SWATCHATA PAKHWARD EK TAREEKH ,EK GHANTA ,EK SATH

The 'Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath' Campaign represents a massive cleanliness drive aimed at commemorating Gandhi Jayanti, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. This initiative serves as a precursor to the 'Swachhata Pakhwada- Swachhata Hi Seva' 2023 campaign. Prime Minister Modi called upon every citizen to dedicate one hour of voluntary service (shramdaan) for cleanliness at 10 a.m. on October 1st.

In alignment with this nationwide call for cleanliness and service, NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers and NCC Cadets from Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Government College enthusiastically participated in the 'Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath' campaign and organized a significant cleanliness campaign on October 1, 2023, outside the college premises and in the vicinity of Scholar Home Junior School. The objective of this campaign was to promote cleanliness and contribute to making our community clean and healthy. This joint effort symbolizes the unity of purpose in realizing Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a clean and self-reliant India.

The students initiated this cleanliness campaign at 10 AM, during which they collected litter along the roadsides and in the colony area. Additionally, they raised awareness among others about the importance of cleanliness.

This cleanliness campaign was conducted with the support of the Municipal Council of Paonta Sahib, who provided the students with gloves, masks, and garbage bags, along with waste disposal vans. The campaign conveyed an important message - the dream of a clean and healthy India is a shared one, and everyone should participate in it. The NSS program officer, Dr. Jayachand and Prof. Nandini Kanwar, and NCC Care Taker Officer, Dr. Pooja Bhati, along with Professor Sandeep Sharma, participated in the cleanliness campaign with the students. Dr. Vibhav Kumar Shukla, the Principal of the college, praised the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm shown by the students.

Under the "Cleanliness is Service" initiative, this campaign served as an inspiration for all and encouraged everyone to take steps towards a cleaner and healthier future.
