On 28^th February, 2024, the Chemigreen Club (Department of Chemistry), SGGSJ Govt. College, Paonta Sahib celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm on the theme – ‘INDEGENIOUS TECHNOLOGIES FOR VIKSIT BHARAT’ in Room No. 304 at 10.30 a.m. Officiating Principal, Prof. Sulaxana Sharma presided over the function as the Chief guest. The programme started with the Saraswati Vandana in which Kavita, Raveena and Tanya from B.Sc. II and Komal from M.Sc. II Sem participated. Then, H.O.D Prof. Amita Joshi formally welcomed the Chief Guest and the other attendees. Garv and Palak (Bsc. 1^st Year) took over the stage and welcomed Kshitiz (Msc. 2^nd Sem) who gave his presentation on the theme of National Science Day. Aman Tomar and Ashish presented a self-composed poem on "Contribution of Traditional Techniques to India's Development." speech by Amaan Tomar, Latika and Gungun (Bsc 1^st year). The audience were spell bound by the solo song performances by Komal Chandel (Msc.2^nd Sem) and Sheetal (Bsc. 2^nd Year) as they took them to the lands of Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh) and Uttarakhand respectively.

On 27^th Feb 2024, various competitions were organized by the department such as power point presentation, solo song competition, video clip making competition, poetry, speech and quiz competition. In the concluding function, Dr. Pooja Bhati announced the winners of various activities organized on Science Day. In the science quiz organized by Vishakha and her team, Balbir Singh from MSc Geography and Rithik Chaudhary from M.Sc. Chemistry secured the first position, while Anurag and Shivam's team from B.Sc. secured the second position. In the poster competition, Aman Tomar secured first place, Amandeep secured second place, and Vaishali secured third place. In the speech competition, Aman Tomar secured the first position, and Gungun secured the second position. In the PowerPoint presentation competition, Kshitij secured the first position. In the self-composed poetry competition, Ashish from BSc secured the first position, and Aman Tomar secured the second position. In the solo song competition, Sheetal Saini from B.Sc. 2^nd year won the first position with her Uttarakhandi traditional song, captivating everyone's hearts.

The chief guest showered the students with her blessings and valuable words. In her address, she inspired the students to recognize their latent talents and contribute to the development of India by embracing old traditional techniques. A vote of thanks was presented by Vishakha, the President of Chemi- Green Club. The function ended with “National Anthem”. Prof. Chinu Bansal , Professor Dhanmanti Kandasi graced the programme with their presence .

पाँवटा साहिब के श्री गुरु गोविन्द सिंह जी राजकीय महाविद्यालय के रसायन विज्ञान विभाग के केमिग्रीन क्लब ने "इंडिजेनस टेक्नोलॉजीज फॉर विकसित भारत" विषय पर राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान दिवस मनाया। जिसमे प्रोफेसर सुलक्षणा शर्मा ने बतौर मुख्यअतिथति शिरकत की। रसायन विज्ञान विभाग की विभागाध्यक्ष अमिता जोशी और असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर डॉक्टर पूजा भाटी के नेतृत्व में विभिन्न गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत सरस्वती वंदना से हुई जिसके उपरान्त केमिग्रीन क्लब की अध्यक्षा विशाखा द्वारा मुख्यअतिथति एवं अन्य अतिथितियों की बैज पिंनिंग की गयी। विभागाध्यक्ष अमिता जोशी द्वारा मुख्यातिथि के औपचारिक स्वागत के बाद छात्र मंच संचालक पलक एवं गर्व ने कार्यक्रम की रूपरेखा को प्रस्तुत किया। जिसके उपरान्त एमएससी रसायन विज्ञान के द्वितीय सेमेस्टर के छात्र क्षितिज ने पॉवरपॉइंट प्रेजेंटेशन द्वारा इंडिजेनस टेक्नोलॉजीज पर विस्तार पूर्वक बताया। अमान तोमर एवं आशीष ने” परंपरागत तकनीकों का भारत के विकास में योगदान” विषय पर स्वरचित कविता प्रस्तुत की। डॉक्टर पूजा भाटी ने विज्ञान दिवस पर आयोजित विभिन्न गतिविधियों के विजेताओं की घोषणा की। विशाखा एवं उसके साथियों द्वारा आयोजित विज्ञान प्रश्नोत्तरी में बलबीर सिंह एम् ऐ भूगोल एवं ऋतिक चौधरी एमएससी के छात्रों की टीम ने प्रथम स्थान एवं बीएससी से अनुराग एवं शिवम् की टीम ने द्वितीय स्थान प्राप्त किया। पोस्टर कम्पटीशन में अमां तोमर ने पहला, अमनदीप ने दूसरा एवं वैशाली ने तीसरा स्थान अर्जित किया। भाषण प्रतियोगिता में अमां तोमर पहले व गुनगुन दुसरे स्थान पर रही। पॉवरपॉइंट प्रेजेंटेशन प्रतियोगिता में क्षितिज ने पहले स्थान झटका। स्वरचित कविता प्रतियोगिता में बीएससी से आशीष ने प्रथम एवं अमान तोमर ने दूसरा स्थान पाया। एकल गान में बीएससी की शीतल सैनी के उत्तराखंडी पारम्परिक गीत ने प्रथम स्थान पाकर सबका मन जीत लिया। गांव की परम्पराओं पर बनी वीडियो क्लिप्स में एम एस सी की छात्रा प्रकृति द्वारा रेणुकाजी पर बनी वीडियो क्लिप प्रथम आयी और मुख्यातिथि द्वारा सराही गयी। केमीग्रीन क्लब के प्रेजिडेंट विशाखा, वाईस प्रेजिडेंट आशीष एवं जनरल सेक्रेटरी कविता, एस एल ए धीरज तथा लैब स्टाफ प्रताप एवं जोगिंद्रो के नेतृत्व मे राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान दिवस कार्यक्रम का सफल सञ्चलम हो पाया। मुख्या अतिथि ने अपने सन्देश में विद्यार्थियों को अपनी छिपी क्षमता को पहचानने, पुरानी परम्परागत तकनीकों को अपनाते हुए एक विकसित भारत के निर्माण में योगदान देने के लिए प्रेरित किया। कार्यक्रम के अंत में विशाखा ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन प्रस्तुत किया एवं राष्ट्र गान के साथ कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ। भौतिकी विभाग से प्रो चीनू बंसल एवं वनस्पति विज्ञान विभाग से प्रो धनमंती ने अपनी उपस्थिति से कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई।
