Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, also known as National Unity Day, was observed at Shree Guru Gobind Singh Ji Govt College in Paonta Sahib on October 31, 2023, to commemorate the 147th birth anniversary of the freedom fighter, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event was marked by the presence of NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers Programme Officer Dr. Jai Chand and Prof. Nandini Kanwar.

The program commenced with an introductory talk by Prof. Nandini Kanwar, who emphasized the significance of National Unity Day. She spoke about the importance of unity, integrity, and security in the nation and how Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's efforts played a crucial role in achieving this unity.

Dr. Jai Chand, the Programme Officer, delivered an enlightening speech on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's contribution to India's freedom movement and the integration of the country from various princely states. He highlighted Patel's extraordinary efforts in unifying the diverse regions of India and working tirelessly to create a more unified and prosperous nation. Volunteers took the Rashtriya Ekta pledge.
