International Ozone Day, 16th September 2022

International Ozone Day was observed under the aegis of Department of Geography and ChemiGreen Club of Department of Chemistry with the theme "Global CooperationProtecting Life on Earth" on 16th September, 2022 at Shree Guru Gobind Singh Ji Government College, Paonta Sahib. Principal Dr. Pramod Patial presided over the program and Mr. Manmeet Singh Ji, Director, Nanz Pharmaceuticals graced the program as the Chief Guest. Prof. Vimmi Rani (H.O.D., Department of Geography) gave a presentation in which she gave detailed information about the ozone layer, its degradation and measures to protect everyone through a power point presentation. Prof. Amita Joshi, (H.O.D., Department of Chemistry) informed about the newly formed ChemiGreen Club started by the Department of Chemistry. Under this, it has been ensured to run the campaign to keep the environment free from harmful gases by dividing the students into various squads like Plantation Squad, Leader Squad etc. In addition to this, students of both the departments planted indoor plants in the Geography and Chemistry labs respectively and actively participated in poster competition
