Add-on Courses

Since Paonta Sahib is an Industrial Hub, therefore, to increase the employability of the students the IQAC has initiated add-on certificate courses of 30 contact hours each in order to enhance their capabilities and job-related skills. In order to make our students technically and professionally advanced the following add-on courses in the field of basics of computer, communicative English, soft skill, computerized accounting, income tax e- filing and music have been successfully completed during the academic session 2020-21.

Coaching for IAS/HPAS Aspirants

The IQAC under Uttkrisht Mahavidyalaya Scheme has initiated the process of providing Free Coaching Classes for its IAS/HPAS aspirants of by NIMBUS Academy Chandigarh. The coaching institution was selected through bidding process on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. This coaching will be provided to 120 students in the college campus in two batches of 60 students each. Each batch will receive 312 hours of coaching. The selection will be on the basis of Entrance Exam to be held on 12th May 2022. 

Student Minor Research Projects

The IQAC under Uttkrisht Mahavidyalaya Scheme has taken the initiative to inculcate the research aptitude among the students through introduction of student minor research projects. To motivate the students to carry out the projects, a financial assistance of ₹ 1,000 per project has been given to the students on successful submission of their research project reports. 

100% ICT Enabled Classrooms

To promote qualitative and advanced learning the IQAC under Utkrisht Mahavidyalaya Scheme has installed 14 interactive panels in the classrooms, along with 3 digital podium, 1 portable K-Yan and 2 projectors. Thus, 100% classrooms in the college have been ICT enabled on the initiative of IQAC. 

50 Mbps Bandwidth Internet Lease Line and Campus-wide Networking: 

Keeping in view the 100% ICT enabled classrooms, IT labs, E-resource Centre and administrative ICT requirements, the college has subscribed to an internet lease line of 50 Mbps bandwidth. The entire college campus has been connected to broadband through Campus-wide Local Area Networking.
