OBC Cell

A special cell was constituted on 14 July, 2020 in the college to empower and look into the matters of Other Backward Class students and staff members of the college. The cell is working in the campus in accordance with the National Commission For Backward Classes Act, 1993 (Act No. 27 of 1993) 


Objectives

  1. To educate, enlighten and empower the students of the college regarding the facilities extended by the government and other agencies for their educational and occupational career. 
  2. To ensure the implementation of the reservation policy of the Government and UGC. 
  3.  To maintain cordial social relationship among the students in the college and resolve issues, grievances and representations. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. The OBC cell is committed to solve the grievances of OBC students and staff members and maintain cordial environment for them. 
  2. The cell will collect data and information related to OBC class issued by the State and Cerntral Government and will help the OBC students while applying for higher education and employments. 
  3. The cell will make the students aware of all kinds of financial assistance such as scholarships given by State and Central Government time to time. 
  4. The cell plans to start career enhancement activities for the concerned students in next academic sessions and to conduct meetings periodically to solve their grievances.
