Roles and Responsibilities of SC/ST Committee
1. To ensure the Prevention of Atrocities (as defined within the meaning of SC and ST Act ,1989) on the SC/ST Staff, Faculty and Students.
2. To implement, monitor and evaluate continuously the Reservation Policy in the college.
3. To take necessary steps of measuring for ensuring effective implementation of the policy & programmes /schemes of the State, Central Govt. and UGC for SC/ST students.
4. To ensure safe and secure environment for SC/ST students.
5. To aware the SC/ST students regarding various scholarship schemes of State Govt., Central Govt. and UGC.
6. To counsel and guide SC/ST students for managing their academic and personal problems.
Important Initiatives of SC/ST Committee
1. Awareness drive was organised for SC/ST students on State Govt., Central Govt. and UGC scholarship schemes.
2. Information was given to SC/ST students regarding free of cost Add-on courses in IGNOU, because of this 174 students of college enrolled in these courses.
3. Information boards are displayed in the college on the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
4. Reservation is given to SC/ST students in admissions as notified by State Govt.
